PVC Special Flame Retardant LHX-HB-01
In PVC-based flame-retardant systems, LHX-HB-01 enables the complete replacement of antimony trioxide (Sb₂O₃)
LHX-HB-01 is a dedicated flame retardant for PVC materials. It integrates three core advantages—high efficiency, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness—making it ideal for flame-retardant (FR) treatment of PVC-based products, including hoses, cable compounds, artificial leather, wallpaper, films, and industrial belts.
Core Product Features:
-
Physical Form: Ultra-fine, free-flowing powder for easy handling and blending.
-
Stability Performance: Exceptional thermal stability and light stability, ensuring consistent performance under various processing and usage conditions.
-
Resin Compatibility: Excellent compatibility with PVC base resins. Its addition does not compromise the original mechanical properties of the final product.
-
Flame-Retardant Efficacy: High flame-retardant efficiency that requires only a small addition amount. No blooming or precipitation issues occur during product use.
-
Economic & Functional Benefits: Significantly reduces material costs, delivering obvious economic value. For soft PVC products, it also drastically lowers smoke generation during combustion.
Product Usage:
The special PVC flame retardant LHX-HB-01 is suitable for flame-retardant treatment of PVC-based products, including cable compounds, furniture soft films, sealing strips for construction and home decoration, as well as artificial leather, floor leather, wallpaper, and films.

Recommended Addition Level & Usage Guidelines
Given the broad variety of soft PVC products and their differing formulations, the key factors influencing flame retardancy include the type and dosage of plasticizers and type and dosage of fillers. Accordingly, the recommended mass fraction of this product varies by formulation.
To achieve a flame retardancy rating of UL 94 V-0 or a limiting oxygen index (LOI) of over 30%, the general addition level of this flame retardant is 3–9 parts per 100 parts of PVC resin (phr).
Key Adjustment Principles for Addition Level
-
If the plasticizer content in the formulation is high, increase the dosage of this product accordingly.
-
Formulations using a higher proportion of phthalate plasticizers require a larger amount of this product.
-
If the formulation contains a high dosage of chlorine-containing plasticizers or phosphate plasticizers, the dosage of this product can be reduced.
Note: Prior to large-scale application, each user facility must determine the optimal addition level through on-site trials.
